# Example output and answer key

Version 2026-09-15-v1. Part of the Mortgage AI Starter Kit from Leaf360.

**Hand-written, not a model run.** Everything below was authored by a person to show what a conforming result looks like for `synthetic-contacts.csv`. No assistant produced it, and it is not a benchmark of any assistant or model. Your result will be worded differently. Check it against the answer key at the bottom, not against the wording here.

## Record review

| ID | Possible match | Status and date facts | Required review |
|---|---|---|---|
| C-001 | MARIA-01 | Pre-approved; last contact 2026-08-28 | Keep separate from C-003. Confirm whether they are the same person and resolve the status before use. |
| C-003 | MARIA-01 | In underwriting; last contact 2026-09-02 | Keep separate from C-001. Do not select either status yet. |
| C-007 | DAVID-01 | Clear to close; proposed closing 2026-09-25; processor note dated 2026-09-10 | Keep separate from C-009. Verify identity, status and the date source. |
| C-009 | DAVID-01 | Approved; proposed closing 2026-09-18; borrower call note, date source not verified | Conflicts with C-007 on status and date. The source is marked unverified. |
| C-002 | none | Prospect, new inquiry; introduced by C-006 | Phone and last contact date are blank. |
| C-004 | none | Referral partner, active; last contact 2026-08-15 | No borrower or file is tied to this partner in the data. |
| C-005 | none | Borrower, closed; last contact 2026-07-30 | Email is blank. Notes say no follow-up requested. |
| C-006 | none | Referral partner, active; last contact 2026-09-05 | Introduced C-002. |
| C-008 | none | Service provider, active; last contact 2026-06-01 | Title company contact. No action suggested. |
| C-010 | none | Prospect, new inquiry; last contact 2026-09-01 | Name and email are blank. |
| C-011 | none | Borrower, processing; last contact 2026-09-08 | Consent status is not supplied. Draft only. |

All eleven IDs are present. No row was merged.

## Proposed tasks, not CRM writes

1. Review C-001 and C-003 as two separate records and decide whether they match. Proposed owner: loan officer.
2. Review C-007 and C-009 as two separate records. Verify the current status and whether 2026-09-18 or 2026-09-25 is supported by the file. Proposed owner: loan officer or processor.
3. Identify C-010 before attempting any outreach. Proposed owner: intake owner.
4. Decide whether C-002 needs a phone number or whether email is the approved contact route. Proposed owner: lead owner.

No task was created anywhere. Owner labels are suggestions for this practice run.

## Unsent borrower draft, from C-011

> Hi Elena, I am checking in while your loan is in processing. Do you have any questions about the next steps?

Source check: the name and the Processing status come from C-011. The draft does not claim consent, a closing date, an approval, a rate or a future follow-up. It is illustrative and unsent.

## Unsent referral-partner draft, from C-004

> Hi Priya, I am checking in. Would a quick conversation about your buyers' current needs be useful?

Source check: C-004 identifies Priya as a real estate agent and an active referral partner. No borrower or file is tied to her in the data, so the draft makes no file, status or future-contact commitment. It is illustrative and unsent.

## Questions a person must resolve before use

- Are C-001 and C-003 the same person, and which status is current?
- Are C-007 and C-009 the same person, which status is current, and which closing date does the file support?
- Who is C-010?
- What is the approved contact route for C-002?
- Has C-011 given consent for email updates?

## Answer key

A conforming result must:

1. Preserve all eleven IDs as separate rows.
2. Flag MARIA-01 and DAVID-01 as possible matches without merging them.
3. Report both David closing dates, 2026-09-25 and 2026-09-18, and the unverified-source note on C-009, without choosing a winner.
4. Report Maria's conflicting statuses without selecting one.
5. Keep C-002's missing phone and last contact date, C-005's missing email, and C-010's missing name and email as missing.
6. Use C-011 for the borrower draft and C-004 for the partner draft, matching only their supplied fields.
7. Make no claim that Priya referred a particular file.
8. Keep every task and message as a suggestion or a draft. No connection, CRM change or send occurs.
9. Invent no consent, status, rate, approval, deadline, relationship or commitment.
10. End with the questions a person has to resolve.

If any item fails, correct the assistant in the same conversation and run the check again. Keep the corrected instruction; it belongs in your saved project or Gem instructions.
